How to handle the exceptions in SQL Server 2000?

Hi all!
I’m a beginner for SQL Server 2000. But, I’ve learned exception handling in Oracle 8i. I know the meaning of the exception handling but I can’t able to write a programs in SQL Server 2000. So please tell me the simple program for exception handling. And tell me, what are all the keywords or functions to be involved.

There is no error handling in SQL Server 2000, but there is in SQL Server 2005/2008:
try…catch

How do I block certain types of websites?

Just got a new computer, and use both Mozilla, and Internet Explorer. The problem is that I can’t figure out how to set up the internet to keep the kids from traveling to inappropriate websites. Can anyone be of any assistance? I’ve tried searching the internet and the program, but I think I may be using the wrong keywords. Help!

does an affiliate program interfere with SEO efforts?

i want to start an affiliate program on my site. However, this could entice affiliates to spam my site, compete with me on my keywords, register similar domain names, frame my site etc etc which will all damage SEO efforts. So should I wait until my site is established before starting an affiliate program, or can it still work out favourably if I start one straight away? thanks in advance

Hi,

The guru I listen to has said that you should really wait until you have at least 30 unique visits a day before monetizing. Now I think this all depends on the type of site you have . It’s your business and your choice.

But the upside to waiting until your site is established is that you can get listed on directories a lot faster. They don’t really like to list commercial sites.

You also want to have a well-established site that has a lot of good content that will entice people to come back often.

Is it a membership site? Having an affiliate program for a membership site will probably be a cornerstone to your success.

I wouldn’t worry about keyword competition and registering similar domain names, etc. There’s really nothing you can do about that. And as far as the framing issue, isn’t there a way to protect your site against that?

Hope that helps and good luck,

Healthy Mom

How Does A Person Make $300K A Month on the Internet?

I recently read some articles that portrayed some hot gurus on the Internet making tons of cash from their website. I have a website: http://www.wealthsearch.org that discusses income opportunities and creating wealth programs. I would enjoy getting your ideas on this subject so I can update my website, and of course learn some secrets about making the big bucks myself. I would also appreciate any input relevant to your experiences with Yahoo Directory, and Yahoo premium services for keyword searches, adwords, etc.

First of all, don't believe everything you read. Secondly, have a plan (as with any business) and set short term and long term goals.

Most of the real money making "gurus" will tell you themselves that it took a long time and a lot of mistakes before they made real money. Now you can learn from their mistakes except they all want to charge for the information.

Why?…. I really do not understand. If someone has already made millions, why wouldn't they just be willing to help others, why do they sell the information. (Sorry, I digressed.)

Anyway, there are many sources all over the internet who give information on how to promote your site and how to partner with others, etc. What you need is a plan and then stick to it.
